how to schedule your practice times

Practices will be finalized during the coach's meetings however, if you create an account on our scheduling software (Acuity) you will have the ability to schedule some practice times before the coaches meetings.  Please note that some changes may be needed and your "pre-meeting" schedule is not guaranteed.

We will continue to use the Google Sheet Practice Grid as a back up plan and for those that do not use Acuity.  You can access the schedules below.  (Remember, these are only Rec schedules as the open slots may or may not be open.  You will only be able to view actual availability through the Acuity Software.

rescheduling PRACTICE TIMES OR ADDITIONAL TIMES

So, you can show up at any time to practice in any area or field that is not used. However, if a team has a practice or game scheduled, you will have to make way for them. Also, if the field is lined for a game, please stay off the infield areas.

But, if you want to try to schedule a new or additional practice time for one time or recurring you will need to create the Acuity Account and schedule through it.  The League Office reserves the right to cancel, reschedule additional practice times with appropriate notification but we do encourage teams to practice as much as they are able.

your batting tunnels

Each field with the current exception of Field 1 and Field 12 has a designated batting tunnel (cage) with a pitching protection screen.

Each team will have access to their designated batting tunnel for 30 minutes either before or after their scheduled practice time.

If you remove the pitching screen from the tunnel, please put it back when you are finished.

weather

You are expected to treat these fields like they are your fields.  Practicing on fields when they are really wet will damage them sometimes even to the point it will be very costly to repair.  We let you decide if the fields are too wet or not but we would like you to stay off the dirt areas when there is water standing or the field is muddy.

Do not practice when there is lightning in the area.

The grassy areas are great for fielding and pitching practice.  You can even hit in the grassy areas if you use whiffle balls.

We also expect you to follow the same rules for practice as we do for games when heat is concerned.  We do not play if the heat index is 104 or higher.   Practice oftentimes is even more strenuous than games so please consider not practicing or practicing hard when the heat index is 100 or higher.

Always allow time for water breaks.
